Wee See Chua

Wee See Chua is a Registered Psychologist and AHPRA Board-Approved Supervisor with extensive experience in the assessment and treatment of trauma-related disorders, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and complex trauma. She works with adults across community populations, the military and first responders affected by interpersonal, occupational, medical, and cumulative trauma exposure.
Wee See's practice is trauma-informed, recovery-oriented, and evidence-based, grounded in a collaborative and transparent therapeutic approach. She utilises formulation-driven care and integrates a range of evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), and is a certified provider of Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). Treatment is paced according to individual presentation and readiness, with an emphasis on stabilisation, emotional regulation, and establishing safety in the treatment of PTSD and complex trauma.
Wee See is trained in and delivers the FIRST® PTSD protocol (Fast Imagery Reversal Script for Trauma Release), developed at King's College London by Dr Lisa de Rijk and informed by memory reconsolidation principles. This structured, imagery-based intervention targets specific traumatic memories in a contained and clinically guided manner.
In addition to her trauma-focused work, Wee See has held senior clinician and clinical leadership roles within public community mental health services. She has extensive experience working with severe and enduring mental illness, high-risk and complex presentations, and comorbid psychosocial needs. This background informs her expertise in clinical assessment, risk management, clinical governance, and multidisciplinary collaboration across primary care, specialist services, defence health, first responder organisations, NGOs, and family systems.
